How the work is cut · ten work packages

One evidence chain — apparatus → opening → reading → return → synthesis, with measurement computing the distance between what the frameworks prescribe and what the field lives — carrying two pipelines. Each identifies a gap and then measures what closes it: Translations reduces the gap the field data carry, through original vocational formats measured pre/post on GreenComp; Policy reduces the gap between those who decide and those concerned, opening it at the Science-Meets-Politics conference at month 24 and observing the response in the second round. Both run on the same field protocol.

Why ten: Horizon Europe pays this grant as a lump sum per finished work package, not per cost incurred. So each package is built to finish within one of three reporting periods. Cut by theme, as in a cost-based grant, most packages would run all four years and almost nothing would be paid before the end.

Four years, ten work packages. Evidence moves along one chain – apparatus, opening, reading, return, synthesis – with Round 1 collection in WP3 (M5–M16) and Round 2 responsive collection in WP7 (M29–M38), after the Science-Meets-Politics conference (M24). Two pipelines are carried on that chain: WP5 reduces the gap the field data carry, WP9 the gap between those who decide and those concerned. The project is funded as a lump sum, paid per completed work package, so each package is cut to close within one reporting period (M18, M38, M48). Formal deliverables and milestones are those of the proposal’s tables 3.1c and 3.1d.
